A large number of people visit Vienna, the biggest city and capital of Austria every year to tour around several hot spots including museums and palaces.It is also regarded as culturally, economically and financially well developed city.Vienna is on par with the most sophisticated cities in terms of quality of life and this imposing city is noted for the existence of important organizations like United Nations and OPEC.
Some of the must see places are Wiener Metropol, a small but famous theatre, the Naschmarkt, "Kettenbrueckengasse”, tiny joyful restaurants with fresh cuisines offering local food as well as the international delicacies like Chinese, Italian and lot more with attached open garden with free space to relax and enjoy the pleasant breeze during hot summer afternoon! Although beware that taking anything out from country from Naschmarkt, is a legal offence even if you have bought it officially! The flea market is splendid and it is worth spending at least half a day to take back home a good collection of various low cost antiques and high quality pricey stuff.
The rivers and canals are also worth a visit as Museumsquartier is a cool place for hang outs in the evenings, mostly during summer.
The Ring, Prater house and Parliaments are also amongst the hot spots and many tourists take interest in visiting the Austrian Library and the museums in the vicinity.
If you are a movie fanatics, there is an opera film festival during the months of July & August on a huge open air screen and if you are a dance lover you can even consider the option of having a look at the ImPulsTanz Festival!
