Dubai is the second biggest Emirates after the Abu Dhabi and this populous city basks in the glory of the gold and the vast oil fields have transformed this one time desert land to a plush and one of the most sophisticated cities in the world. The Dubai is divided into two parts around the banks of creek to the northern Diera and Bur Dubai in the south. Dubai Creek is a safe and serene harbor making it an ideal place to visit by the evenings. The Dubai city has a many of options for the tourists to revel including silvery beach, basking sunshine, towering hotels, magnificent shopping malls, top class golf club and exclusive gold showrooms.
Shop till you drop literally applies for the exciting Dubai Shopping Festival and most of the tourists look forward to visit Dubai during this part of year. Spice Souk, Gold Souk, Hatta mountains, Grand Mosque, Dubai Trade Centre and Dubai Museum are some other attractions.
One thing to try for sure is the Dubai cuisine. Auspiciously and regrettably, there is not anything like "customary" Dubai food. One different trait of Arabic cuisine is "mezze" which sets in bare dissimilarity to the all too well-known three-course meal from the Western world. The traditional “shawarma”, something like minced meat served in rolled bread oozes with authentic local Dubai cuisine flavor and this is one item that everyone would like to try. Apart from these local cuisines, many of the well-known American fast food joints such as KFC, McDonald's and Starbucks have their openings in Dubai.
